The American Girl project was a high-profile job located on 5th Avenue in Manhattan that lasted about five weeks.
This was a remodel of an open store environment with limited space. H.J. Martin and Son developed logistics for all the casework required for the project to be held within a warehouse near Manhattan and then arranged for daily transportation to the site for only the materials needed each day.
The goal of the store was to create a customer experience to create the feeling of being in a dollhouse. H.J. Martin and Son installed detailed whimsical storefront facades within the store’s Market Street area, so each area of the store appears to be its own special shop; including cedar shake roofing, wood siding, dental moldings, crown moldings, wainscot paneling, built in cabinets, display cabinets, radiused counters and solid surface countertops.
