H.J. Martin continues to inch closer to the top 10 of Carpet One dealers in North America. The company was ranked No. 12 for fiscal 2013 after a No. 13 ranking in 2012 and a No. 14 ranking in 2011.
Carpet One Floor & Home, the nation’s largest floor covering co-op, has been a partner of H.J. Martin for 13 years. With 665 members – 577 in the United States and 88 in Canada – Carpet One stores are locally owned and operated to offer strong, personalized service.
Its relationship with Carpet One gives H.J. Martin the buying power to bring lower flooring prices and more selection to Northeast Wisconsin.
“It’s a real credit to our sales team that H.J. Martin can be ranked 12th in the country despite having only two storefronts,” says Edward Martin, the company’s CEO. “We appreciate the retail customers who keep coming back to us.”
H.J. Martin will continue to strive for a coveted spot in the top 10 of Carpet One dealers, according to Martin.
Similar recognition has arrived from other sources in recent months. Floor Focus, a monthly publication on the latest trends in the residential and commercial flooring marketplace, ranked H.J. Martin No. 60 overall in the country, based on annual flooring sales in 2013.
Writer Darius Helm noted that H.J. Martin’s focus on higher-end products, such as Karastan and Stanton, has been helpful because that industry sector “has been gaining strength.”
