Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
H.J. Martin and Son is the nation’s largest interior and specialty contractor with more than 90 years and 4 generations of experience. As a growing company with more than 600 employees, we recognize the need to address our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our commitment to these values is unwavering – across all of our divisions and throughout our community, which is why we started our own DEI Committee.
“The diversity committee impacts H.J. Martin and Son by bettering the surrounding area and by bringing individuals together who can connect from different backgrounds.”
– Matt Kaczmarek, DEI Committee Member
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee is made up of 10 H.J. Martin and Son employees. We established this committee in an effort to create an inclusive workplace that values employee diversity, ensures everyone is treated with respect and feels empowered, and strengthens our relationships with the communities where we live and work.
“Diversity is not how we’re different from one another. It’s about embracing how everyone is unique in their own way.”
– Casey Migacz, DEI Committee Member
As a company reliant on work ethic, we understand that saying and doing are two very different things. Through planning and hosting events, we can execute our mission: to advance and improve our culture of belonging to bring out the best in all our team members as well as to unleash their true potential. For updates on our diversity, equity, and inclusion work, see our events.
“I want to do my part in making a difference. I want to learn and be able to teach others about the importance of DEI, make changes for the better for all people, and help our company and community do better by working together to make a difference.”
– Lexy Riley, DEI Committee Co-Chair
